We’ve upgraded to wpmu 1.2.1. Been awhile since any upgrades, updates or changes have been made. Sorry about that. Between parenting and my day job I haven’t had much free time. That hopefully will be changing shortly.

No promises yet, but the big redesign is still in progress as well as a few new features and a contest with cool shwag to win (did someone say bestbuy gift cards and free netflix subscriptions? Tshirts?) more on that later.

First off sorry for no new themes this week. Our Chief theme conversion guy (that’d be the main man here Chris) isn’t doing any work other than changing the occasional diaper and holding his son for awhile.

For the rest of the year the whole staff is going to take some time and enjoy the holidays with friends and family. In the new year expect some MASSIVE changes (yeah I went there with all caps, didn’t think I’d do it did ya?)

Thanks to Stuart Amanzi over at http://stuart.amanzi.co.nz/ when you’re already logged in the front page (dreamflicks.com) will hide the login form and instead display a nice hello message as well as a link to all your blogs (I had mentioned that you can have more than one blog hadn’t I? No? Well surprise! You can have as many as you can regularly use).

Anyways  that’s it for me for the night/day and likely a day or two.

So since I quite brilliantly managed to put the site up before having the front end completely finished it is now time for everyone to cope with slightly broken css and a few missing images until I get a few themes and plugins debugged.

Obviously I’m not the smartest cookie in the jar when it comes to practical allocation of my time. No matter. I haven’t announced this site anywhere yet so likely no one will notice until it’s fixed.

Welcome to Dreamflicks.com. There’s really not at all much here but this is the just the beginning of it all. I’ve set up the main scripts and themes that we’re offering right now as well as done some testing to make sure everything works right. Now it’s just a matter of waiting for Dreamhost to finish altering the dns and apache settings and this baby is ready to fly. Currently the signup form is disabled (unless you get an invite to join) until the bugs are worked out and a few more alterations are in place.

I’ve tested and installed a few of the plugins I run and/or designed over at http://cdcstudios.com and so far they all run spectacularly. I’ve got a few more to test yet but all in all major thanks and amazement over to the whole dev team that built wordpress mu.

I’m back to working on integrating all of this stuff and hoping that my virtual duct tape can hold it all together
